Description

Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc. invites you to the 2017 National Conference hosted by the Mu Chapter at California State University, Sacramento on Saturday, February 11th at 8:00 AM.

This year's theme is Making Connections and Building Partnerships. The recent conference themes revolved around personal growth to become a well-rounded individual. However, to be truly well-rounded, we must also add focus to creating and maintaining our network of connections. This year's theme we will be focusing on how to best maintain, enhance and create new connections and partnerships.

The national conference will also provide an update on some key topics for the organization. Brothers are encouraged to engage in open discussions throughout the event. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please make sure you receive a confirmation email after you register.

FAQs


What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There will be no transportation organized. Please see below for directions. For parking please use the Parking Structure II or the Faculty Parking Lots 4 & 6, which is located in the middle/southeast end of the campus. Parking permits are only required on weekdays between 6am-8pm. There is a parking payment machine on the 3rd floor of the Parking Structure II. Vehicle charging stations are located on the 1st floor of Parking Structure II.

What building is the event taking place at?
The event will be taking place at the University Union building in the center of campus, adjacent to the parking structures.

What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please bring paper & pen, or a laptop for notetaking. Laptop use is recommended but not required.

What is the attire?
Business professional attire.

Is there a required attendance for the chapters?
Yes, there is a 75% chapter membership requirement based on the number of undergraduate and graduate chapter members (active and inactive) based on the Winter/Spring dues.Neos have a 100% attendance requirement.

Will there be a fee to the chapters for not meeting the 75% requirement?
Yes, there will be a fee assessed to the chapter, not the brothers, if the 75% requirement is not met. The fee is $50 per member count that doesn't meet the requirement. For example, if a chapter needs 7 brothers to attend in order to meet the 75% requirement and only 5 register, then the chapter will be charged $100.

Yes, you can update during the day of the event.

Can we sell/distribute merchandise during the conference?
Yes. All merchandise to be sold or distributed during the conference will need approval from the national Director of Marketing. There will be a $40 merchandise fee and the standard fundraising event fee (up to $100) won't apply. If we receive a request prior to 1/15/17, we will give a 50% discount on the merchandise fee.
